How Pests Travel Through Downtown Towers
Downtown Dubai packs thousands of homes into tall buildings that share their plumbing, drainage, waste and air systems. To a German cockroach, a tower is one big connected home. These are the routes we check most:
- Garbage chute rooms. Food waste, warmth and damp floors on every level make chute rooms a feeding station for cockroaches and flies.

I keep my flat spotless. Why do I still have cockroaches?
In towers, cockroaches often come from shared shafts and nearby units, not from your cleaning. Baiting and sealing the entry gaps deals with that. Cleaning alone cannot.
Will my neighbours know a pest treatment is happening?
Gel baiting is quiet and leaves no strong smell, so it rarely affects anyone else on your floor. Our technicians come in plain work uniforms and with standard equipment.
Can you treat a unit while guests are checked in?
We advise against it. Book between stays so we can treat beds, sofas and cupboards properly and give the unit time to air out.
How long before I can use the kitchen again?
With gel baits, you can usually use the kitchen almost straight away. Just avoid wiping the bait spots. If we spray, we will tell you exactly how long to wait.
My building already has a pest contractor. Do I still need you?
